For many decades, OHL Gutermuth has been involved in international solar projects as a consultant, valve manufacturer and supplier. We use our know-how and expertise to support our partners in plant engineering. Through numerous contracts in Spain, North and South Africa, the United Arab Emirates, as well as North and Central America, we have supported more than 50 large-scale projects in the field of solar plant construction. Our special control and shut-off butterfly valves have proven themselves successfully worldwide.

TRIPLE ECCENTRIC DESIGN
Our metal-seated shut-off butterfly valve KX SAFEFLEX stands for functionality, flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Even at high pressures and extreme temperatures, operational safety and tightness are ensured in the long term. The KX SAFEFLEX is our global bestseller for applications involving HTF and molten salt, as well as abrasive and corrosive media. To meet the specific requirements of your project, we manufacture our KX SAFEFLEX as a special version, e.g. in special materials, with a heating jacket, or with surface coatings such as Stellite or carbide.

VALVES FOR CONCENTRATED SOLAR POWER
During the construction of the world’s largest concentrated solar power plant in Dubai, OHL Gutermuth supported the plant constructor and has been assisting the project since 2020 by supplying hundreds of special butterfly valves that were installed on site in the pipelines. Regular monitoring of construction progress is an important part of every project execution for OHL. VOLUME
In CSP solar plants, heat is stored in liquid storage media such as molten salts. Thanks to the low storage volume required at high energy density, space-saving storage of solar energy is possible.
TRANSPORT
In CSP solar plants, molten salts are transported as thermal storage media through pipelines within the plant. Their high heat density enables efficient, low-loss energy transport.
STORAGE
In CSP fields, solar heat is stored in liquid storage media such as molten salts. This allows large amounts of energy to be stored efficiently and used independently of solar irradiation over time.
